What is PDRC about

We are a Scottish riding club serving Peebles, Biggar, West Linton and surrounding areas. We are affiliated to the national organisation British Riding Clubs, which is part of the British Horse Society.  We aim to bring horse riders at all levels together in a range of activities for them to enjoy, including training, demos and competitive events. Scottish Riding Club Championships 2023
Our 70cm PDRC SJ team have won at the Scottish Riding Club Championships!
Massive congratulations to Laura Robson who came 2nd in her 70 Horse Trials section and a big well done to Dorothy Still who was 9th in her 80 Horse Trials section.
Charlotte and Alison did great in the 80’s as well, Helen had a great dressage, clear SJ, but the bogey hedge fence saw them eliminated- along with many in the class!

Arena Eventing Weekend
On the 7th and 8th October we have a lovely weekend of Arena Eventing fun at Hyndshawland Farm Stables planned.
  • 7th October - Arena Event Training with Alison Buchan.
Alison is a UKCC Level 2 Coach, who competes regularly. She coaches monthly at SNEC and also from her home near Forth. She is a confidence building fun coach who loves working with riders at all levels.
  • 8th October - Arena Event Competition, classes from 50cm - 100cm.
Will be the usual PDRC friendly event, set up for riders to have fun and a great day out.

Winter Leagues
Hyndshawland Farm Stables have kindly agreed to run a PDRC Winter League at their Dressage, Show Jumping and TREC events in 23/24.
When you enter, flag that you are a PDRC Member on your entry form and results will be collated through the season. Rosettes and prizes for the PDRC League and you will also be part of the overall league! Big thanks to Dorothy Still for this.
Dates are:
  • Show Jumping & Dressage;
30th September, 18th November, 9th December, 20th January, 24th February, 23rd March.
Dressage will run in the morning with showjumping in the afternoon.
  • TREC which is affiliated by South of Scotland TREC
14th October, 25th November, 16th December (Christmas fancy dress optional), 27th January, 2nd March. All TREC classes are open to Members and Non Members of SoS TREC/TREC GB – but only fully paid up members of SoS TREC will have their scores to count in the SoS TREC Winter Leagues.
